Thank you to all of the supporters who participated in our 100 Women $100 campaign!
The ambitious goal to raise $10,000 is a first for Rain City Rock Camp for Girls (formerly Girls Rock! Seattle), and is enabling us to double the number of girls we serve each summer. In our first year we were ecstatic to welcome 40 girls to camp. Because of the incredible popularity of the program, we served 80 girls in 2010 and will continue to expand our programming.
In doubling our capacity, we have an increased need for instruments, equipment and supplies. While much of the gear used for the first camp was borrowed from staff, board members, volunteers and community members, ownership of equipment is now necessary to effectively support our ongoing programming. Our increased capacity also requires an increase in the space needed for camp, administrative costs, and an increase in supplies.
We invite you to become one of 100 women driving the success of Rain City Rock Camp for Girls. Donors to the 100 Women $100 campaign will receive a guitar pick necklace with their donor number on it as a token of our gratitude and a small piece of the Rain City Rock Camp for Girls experience.
Make a donation of $100 and wear your necklace, or make a donation in honor of an important woman in your life. With the power of 100 women, Rain City Rock Camp for Girls will continue to build on the strength of our community and can continue to build positive self-esteem in girls and encourage creative expression through music.
If $100 is a stretch right now, consider getting together a group of friends, family, or coworkers and donating in someone's honor. Contact us for other options, including pledging monthly payments towards your $100.
Our girls will learn that they can rock in anything they choose to do.
To send a donation via mail, please send it along with your contact information to:
