Ladies Rock-Away Camp
Thanks for making our 2nd Rock-away a success!
Ladies Rock-away Camp by Rain City Rock Camp for Girls is an intermediate level program focusing on music and equity for adults* ages 21+ who have prior music experience or a strong interest in learning more in-depth skills, techniques and concepts. Campers will steep themselves in songwriting, specialized instrument techniques and equity workshops, and challenged to writing a song-a-day with a “lottery” band – all against the pristine forest backdrop of the Mt. Baker foothills. Begin each day with a sunrise ukulele session; end each day performing collaborative creations for each other; then relax, enjoy jam circles, bonfires or other recreational activities! Workshops in this weekend retreat are geared towards developing collaborative composition skills, creating space for exploration and initiating deeper discussions on transforming our NW music scene to reflect the vision and values of RCRC. It is recommended that participants have some prior music experience/background. Proceeds from this camp support our youth programs!
