What is Adult Rock Camp?

Rain City Rock Camp’s Adult Rock Camp (ARC) is a multiple-day camp that creates opportunities for gender-marginalized adults to find their inner power and rekindle their sense of joy using music as the tool. It also builds our community of volunteers, mentors and activists that support Rain City Rock Camp’s youth programming. This ARC will be in-person, and will continue to prioritize safety in this time of COVID-19. ARC is an opportunity for individuals 20 and over to let loose for the weekend and experience music together.

ARC’s programmatic vision is to cultivate a community of passionate, creative, and socially engaged individuals who will serve as stewards, mentors and leaders in changing the world. We hope to foster a community of empowered creatives and activists to spread the mission of RCRC, far and wide.

Who is Trans Adult Rock Camp for?

All adults ages 20+ whose gender identities fall within the trans umbrella are welcome to be campers. This includes, and is not limited to, adults who are: two-spirit, non-binary, trans femme, trans women, trans masc, trans men, genderqueer, agender, genderfluid, and/or are questioning their gender. We will not police anyone’s identity before, during, or after camp. We trust participants to determine whether they belong in this space. No music experience is required, and you don’t have to live in Seattle or Washington to be eligible. Black, Indigenous, and People of Color are strongly encouraged to apply!

How Much Does Adult Rock Camp Cost?

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to have their voice heard. That’s why our tuition is on a sliding scale from $500 to $50. If you need assistance with payment options, please indicate on your application or email programsupport@raincityrockcamp.org. We appreciate your support in paying what you are able, and any amount over $500 is a tax-deductible donation that will continue to help us rock the world! Your support continues to make this experience accessible to all.

What Happens After I Apply for Adult Rock Camp?

You’ll hear back from us confirming the receipt of your application within the week after you apply.  After applications close, we will be in touch that week to confirm if you have a spot! If you don’t initially get a spot in ARC, don’t worry. You’ll be immediately put on the waiting list and will hear from us if any spots become available. We’ll do our best to get you in!
