Amplified Teen Voices (ATV) is Rain City Rock Camp’s teen leadership program. The group is comprised of high school age youth of marginalized genders who have participated in at least one RCRC youth program, and who are committed to amplifying RCRC’s mission in our community and beyond.
Who should apply to ATV?
You should! If you’re reading this, are currently in high school, and you have participated in at least one RCRC program, we would love to invite you to participate.
What do we do in ATV?
In ATV you get to more deeply explore RCRC’s mission to promote racial and gender equity in our community and beyond. This looks like exploring art as activism, individual and collective leadership development, and building community via events and workshops.
As an ATV member, you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • build strong peer-to-peer relationships with like-minded teens interested in music, the arts, leadership and activism
  • assist RCRC in building action-oriented, relevant, youth-driven programming
  • connect and work with youth leaders from other area organizations
  • provide a crucial voice in how RCRC works with youth and our direction as an organization
  • work with experienced mentors to develop leadership skills
  • explore the more technical side of music and equipment, including how to fix and maintain musical gear
  • act in a leadership role during our year-round programming
What about interning at Summer Camp?
Things have changed! It is no longer an ATV requirement to intern at Summer Camp. Now youth who can’t commit to participating in Summer Camp can participate in ATV during the school year. We are also removing this requirement to refocus ATV as an independent program about developing leadership skills and building community. We are moving away from ATV being a program that primarily prepares youth to intern at Summer Camp.

Is there a stipend?
To align the practices of ATV with the rest of RCRC’s programs, we are no longer paying ATV members a stipend. If this is an inhibiting factor to you joining ATV, please reach out to We are committed to making our programs accessible to anyone who wants to participate.
When and where does ATV take place?
ATV meetings are the first Thursday of each month, November-June from 5:30-7:00 PM, plus additional opportunities to meet up or attend an event together most months. Most ATV meetings will be held in person at the Umbrella or in our office (next door). We may occasionally host a Zoom meeting instead of gathering in person. If in person meetings present any barriers to your participation, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can find a solution that works for you.

Eligibility requirements are as follows:
– Have attended at least one RCRC youth program
– Will be in high school (14-18 years old) at the start of the program (November 2023)

Black, Indigenous, People of Color and gender expansive individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
