Kennady Quile (she/they)

Kennady was introduced to Rain City Rock Camp in 2011, attending summer camp and learning how to play guitar and write songs in a band for the first time ever. And she hasn’t left since! She spent many summers attending camp, then graduating to become an intern, Amplified Teen Voices member, co-roadie manager, and now volunteer and board member. She first learned to play bass many moons ago at rock camp and now plays bass and sings in a local punk band called Mold Mom. Through participating in the ATV program, Kennady discovered a love for radio when her intern band played live on air at KEXP for International Women’s Day in 2018. She got involved in KEXP’s youth DJ program, 90.teen, and now hosts KEXP’s long-running Pacific Northwest local music show, Audioasis. Kennady is super passionate about building community, support and amplifying important voices, and connecting with people through music. She runs a Riot Grrrl zine, Ra-Ra Rebel, that spotlights femme and queer musicians and art submissions from all around the world. In her spare time, you’ll find her digging through record stores, dancing at local shows, thrifting her next favorite vintage dress and talking to anyone who will listen about music in the PNW!
