Marcy Park (she/her)

Marcy grew up in Hawaii and moved to Seattle on Halloween of 2007 to gain access to a broader music scene and more opportunities to see her favorite bands and artists in concert. She knew from an early age that she wanted to be a high school English teacher and has been working with teens for over 20 years in a career that helps pay for her concert tickets. In her pre-RCRC life, Marcy’s rock star moment was performing a cover of Barenaked Ladies’ “Break Your Heart” with some of her students at a homecoming assembly. She was first introduced to RCRC in 2008 when it started as Girls Rock! Seattle and while she fell out of touch for a while, she reconnected in 2022 and fell in love with the organization again when volunteering as a camp counselor for its summer camp program. The combination of two of her passions–music and working with youth–made her realize that RCRC was her happy place.

When Marcy isn’t at school, she’s usually at home giving hugs, kisses, and most of her attention to her dog, Nalu; giving the rest of her attention to her husband, Mike; and trying to figure out what’s for dinner.
