Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with Summer Camp this year! In 2021, this program will remain virtual over Zoom to maintain the health and safety of our community during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

There are two available sessions for Summer Camp; you are welcome to apply for one or both!
2021 Session I: July 12–17 / 2021 Session II: July 19–24

We especially encourage womxn (cis or trans) and gender expansive individuals of color to apply for volunteer and/or leadership positions at camp.

How are volunteer roles different now that camp is virtual?

Great question! If you’re familiar with our volunteer roles from in-person camp, you’ll find that their essential functions remain the same while we maintain the flexibility needed for engaging virtually. We still need our volunteers just as much as ever! For more information about the role of camp counselors, including qualifications, benefits, training, and schedule, please review the role descriptions below.

  • Camp Counselors

  • Instrument Instructors
As an instructor, you will facilitate small group lessons for beginning or intermediate learners ages 8-17 during a week-long camp session. We are seeking Instructors who are comfortable teaching vocals, keyboard, guitar, bass, or drums. The primary goals of each instruction period are to create a positive and encouraging class atmosphere by demonstrating practical instrument techniques with the flexibility to support individual camper needs
  • Media Team
As a member of the media team, you will assist the Media Lead in documenting the camp experience through photos, recordings, and graphic design elements.
  • Mental Health Crew
You will provide support, conflict resolution and crisis management for campers ages 8 to 17 as well as support for staff and volunteers throughout the week of camp. Knowledge of social/emotional regulation and trauma-informed care basics strongly recommended.
